Most of the big names that were in Spore around the time when my cohort joined the workforce are no longer around; such as National Semiconductors, Rollei, GE(USA), ESE (European Standard I think), Bridgestone. But Philips is stll around although the manufacturing operations have shifted elsewhere.

Chun See you mean ESSAB, the Swedish steel manufacturer? Fairchilds also not around. BTW where is Fairchild and NS location? In my mind somewhere in Lower Delta Road area.

Even food manufacturers in our time not here - Nestle? Drug House of Australia?

Peter. Fairchild was in Toa Payoh just a stone't throw from Philips Audio factory was I worked for 6 years. NS was at Lower Delta I think.

Assab Steel is still in Spore at Penjuru Close. Did some work for them a couple of years ago.
