singapore day in melbourne

my two daughters and her friends were among the 11 000 who gathered at the sidney myer music bowl to celebrate singapore day. the sidney myer music bowl is in kings domain gardens, a short walk from flinder street train station.

they were there as early as 10 a.m. to queue for the food - char kway teow, chicken rice, chilli crab, bak chor mee, bah kut teh, roti prata and ice kachang. i think they skipped some of the food because the wait was too long. the most popular had to be the char kway teow where the queueing time for one plate was one hour.

Hey, the bag very cute!!

I guess it is only overseas that the bag takes meaning. I see Yeo's packet drink, is it popular outside Singapore?

icemoon, melbourne has a large asian community and so all types of asian foodstuff is readily available including yeo's drink, prima food paste, canned curry chicken and even frozen durians.

Once again, we witness Icemoon's amazing power of observation - he saw things I didn't even notice. (I only saw how pretty your 2 daughters looked. No wonder I failed miserably the "attention test" you gave me recently. :p)

I think victor exaggerated my observation skills - I'm still finding the bar chor mee mentioned by Ida.
